Buergbrennen (Feierfest)

As always, we invite you to our "Buergbrennen". This is an old Luxembourgish tradition, where we burn off Winter. This event will take place Sunday den February 18th from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. at our location (153, Rue Cents).

As we have done for some years now, we do not only want to burn a big bonfire, but we want to organize a whole festival based on the fire theme.

For this purpose, we will begin at 4 p.m. with a wide offering of fire-themed workshops. Further information on these workshops can be found further down .

The big bonfire will be situated in the middle of our lawn. You will be able to watch and feel the flames from all around the bonfire.

4 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Start

We begin with our workshops for the kids and start selling food and drinks

4 p.m. - 9 p.m.

7:15 p.m.

Torchlight procession

As is our tradition, we will offer a torchlight procession for the kids. The whole procession will take place on our own grounds.

The bonfire is burning

At the end of the torchlight procession, we light the big bonfire in the middle of our grounds

Where does it take place?

The entire fire-festival will take place at our own grounds in Cents. (153 Rue Cents / Bus-stop: Cents Waassertuerm )

Workshops

From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. we will offer a wide range of workshops to kids of all ages. These workshops can be attended at any time; Similar to a fair.

Woodburning

Using a woodburner, you can burn any pattern or drawing you like, into a piece of wood.

Bread on a Stick

Bake your own bread on a stick over an open fire.

Price: 2€

DIY Torch

Build your own torch out of a stick and some cloth dipped in hot wax. If you build your own torch you may take it to the torchlight procession at 7:15 p.m.

(Children who do not build their own torch will get a free torch from us)
